Favorite female rockers


I love the70s songwriting of Carole King and Carly Simon, and Ilove the style of Janis, Gwen Stefani and Debbie Harry.

There is a way that a woman can translate on the big concert stage that I think a man can’t.	Women spend their lives expressing themselves emotionally, and Ithink that is an incredible asset. I love the voices of Bonnie Raitt, Pink, and K.D. Lang.

I really relate to every female artist who has a great voice, something to say and great style.	It’s taken a really long time for women to make a substantial dent in the music scene. One of the reasons that Janis Joplin is such an icon today is because she was the only female rockin’ out for a long time. Now I think women are here to stay.
